Title I wants you to understand why yourchild receives additional services and thegoals we are setting for them.
1.Communication begins in the fall whenstudents are identified for services.2.Results of assessments are provided to show your child’sperformance level in reading.3.Title I teachers attend parent/teacher conferences to sharedata and join the conversations about your child’s progress.4.Reading materials will be sent home for the purpose of student practice and mastery.

NWEA reports will be sent home three times during the yearshowing your child’s progress in the areas of reading andmath. Target gains and expectant growth are representedwithin the report.6.Expand communication between parents and Title I teachersthrough regular updates on progress and curriculum.
Title I provides parent-friendly materials to help yousuccessfully work with your children at home.

“We Both Read” books are sent home regularly. Each bookallows for parents and children to partner read.

The literacy newsletter, “Reading Connection,” is sent homemonthly. It highlights specific strategies parents can use athome to strengthen reading skills.

Individual Title I teachers provide additional resources that arespecific to student needs.4.Provide parents optional activities to initiate practice of current instructed concepts.5.Implement a Parent Education Program where key elements of reading are addressed. Including vocabulary, comprehension,fluency, phonemic awareness and phonics.
Title I provides multiple opportunities to learn about the Title Iprogram.
