About this ebook

Lord William finally meets his match in the latest Summersby Tale from Sophie Barnes, author of How Miss Rutherford Got Her Groove Back.

Lucy Blackwell is desperate, reckless, and maybe a little bit crazy. That's the only possible explanation for tricking a man she doesn't know into a dance, a kiss, and an engagement—all in the middle of the biggest ball of the year! But Lord William Summersby is the final piece of her grand plan, and she'll do what it takes to make this marriage of convenience work—as long as it's convenient for her. She just never counted on falling in love . . .

Author

Sophie Barnes

Born in Denmark, USA TODAY bestselling author Sophie Barnes spent her youth traveling with her parents to wonderful places all around the world. She's lived in five different countries, on three different continents, and speaks Danish, English, French, Spanish, and Romanian. But, most impressive of all, she's been married to the same man three times—in three different countries and in three different dresses. When she's not busy dreaming up her next romance novel, Sophie enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, cooking, gardening, watching romantic comedies and, of course, reading.

I did it again. I thought the first two in this series was terrible and I wasn't going to read the their, but it was in my files, so of course I did. and it was even worse than the first two. giant gaping plot holes, details that don't make sense and are never explained, and characters you just can't relate to or like. Mary and Alex are in this as well, though Mary barely features. Alex is as grating and annoying as in her book though.
Lady Lucy traps Lord William (Alex's brother and Mary's brother-in-law) into marriage, using a false name, and by lying at a ball. he complies and marries her. as they fall in 'love' she tells him her terrible secret. she married him under a false name and is using him to hunt her parents' killer. he falls for it and they vow to bring the jerk to justice. before they can declare their lurve for each other they are foiled by the killer and he kidnaps Lucy. where it just gets stupider with a trip to Constantinople, the sultan, and a slave auction.
this was my last Sophie Barnes book, I just can't do anymore.
