Don and Cathy Hinds Missionaries to:

GUATEMALA
Sent by: First Bible Baptist Church 990 Manitou Rd Hilton, NY 14468 August 2013 Greetings from Guatemala, Cath here... once again thanking you all for your love, prayers and faithfulness to us and the precious folks of Guatemala. To all our Churches, friends and family who read this, pray for us, support us, love us...we give thanks to God for you and to God be the glory for all that is done here on this mission field of Guatemala. We have not yet heard what the will of God is for this property where we minister but we may hear something soon. While we wait we pray and praise God for His wonderful works through us, His will, His glory! Ephesians 3: 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen . A particular blessing to me (Cath) was to see our praise ministry of 12 precious young people ages 16-25 praising God with their voices and instruments in our Sunday am service...all young people from our church. It is a blessing to see them grow through discipleship. One girl in particular, Jessica plays hammer dulcimer for our special music and she meets with me personally weekly for discipleship with such a hunger and thirst to grow in Jesus and in the knowledge of Him. Our women's prayer/bible study on Monday afternoons is growing with younger women attending. One of our sweet prayer warriors from this group, Lolita went on home to be with the Lord and we will miss her so and yet look forward to seeing her again. Another women's Bible study in Justo Rufino has invited me to come and minister on Thursday afternoons. Our Saturday rehearsals with our musicians from the different churches continue here for the time being but not sure how to make plans for this season yet. The music school is on hold waiting to see when or where we should start classes again. With not knowing God's will concerning our church and music ministry we draw close to God and He is growing our faith in Him. As we pour our hearts out to Him, He fills them with the promises of His word that certainly strengthens our faith to run the race with patience (the patience which doesn't come easily to me, Cath) our eyes on Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. So all the strength comes from Him and all the glory goes to Him...we just pray and make ourselves available for the faith and wisdom to know how to please Him, serve Him, teach others and love Him and others more each day. God is working in amazing ways through Don as he teaches in the Bible Institute here in Guatemala city. What a blessing he is to the young men and women that are seeking God and growing to know Him more. I thank God for the opportunity that I had to visit the United States for a few weeks this summer. Don thought it best to stay in Guate this time to reduce costs and take care of some things here in the ministry with the church, tracts, Bible Institute, Home Bible Studies, ..

It was certainly bittersweet to say good bye at least for now to my dear friend, supporter, and prayer warrior Betty Rice. She went on home to heaven and will be sorely missed. It was a blessing to see Andy and family and friends in our home church in Rochester, then to visit our son David and family in Rhode Island, and then to Atlanta to visit Jeffrey and family, to care for the children, and welcome the arrival of their new baby, Isaiah born July 18th. I was also able to visit our son Jeffs church and loved getting to visit the members there. I felt a little guilty having so many blessings when Don was sick for almost three of the weeks with a severe throat infection and flu. He said he was blessed to see me getting blessed. I didnt get to see everyone that I would have loved to have seen but was spoiled by friends taking me shopping and out to eat and all the hugs from the grandkids. Pray with us as we seek Gods guidance concerning this years Christmas Outreach and Vacation Bible School. Only our Great God knows what the future bears in regards to the property and our falling financial support. We do know that the best place to be is where God wants us, doing what he wants. Please continue to pray for us as we continue in this mission seeking God for help and guidance and to God be the glory. Don and Cathy Hinds Your missionaries to Guatemala
