A Spirit Lake, Iowa resident, Tom Jewett, has recently published His Way: Twelve Studies for Spiritual Growth. The book is a non-sectarian Christian devotional that is designed for either personal enrichment or use by a small group. Each of the short units includes a scripture reference, a thought, something to ponder, a prayer and discussion ideas.
Tom writes in the introduction, “Jesus challenged His followers with teachings that stuck to the basic issues of God, man and life. At times His words upset the accepted religious notions of the day, and they often pushed His listeners to achieve personal holiness no matter the cost. It is hoped that the thoughts in this booklet will in some way reflect this work of Christ.” A range of topics is included in the twelve chapters with titles of Builders, WWJD, Visiting Angels, The Fool etc.
