research organization for the purpose of conducting a market survey amongst small and medium companies in the Netherlands. The survey has to be designed to develop a better understanding of the potential for developing enhanced trade links between these companies and India. The survey would be a desk research based survey which will be backed up with a questionnaire which companies are required to fill in. A sample size of the number of interviews to be undertaken could be agreed upon in mutual consultation and should be a fair representation of the SME sector in the Netherlands. The survey would cover, among other things, the following themes: Company turnover Sector analysis (what produced/provided) Current import/export activity Value of imports/exports Reasons for engaging in import/export with India Reasons for not engaging in import/export with India The object of the survey is to create a database of Dutch firms doing business with India and those interested in doing business with India and create a network of such business in the Netherlands for increasing both imports and exports between both the countries. A sample questionnaire in this regard is given below. The firm selected for carrying out this survey will provide all the above data to the Embassy with an analysis of its findings. The survey will be property of the Embassy of India and its contents may not be published or quoted without prior permission of the Embassy.
