PrologueTo my dear fellow Christians in Rome:1 My name is Paul, and I consider myself a slave of Jesus Christ who chose me to be anapostle and especially set me aside to proclaim God’s good news of salvation.2 This good news was promised by God long ago through His prophets who recorded it in theHoly Bible, what we now call the Old Testament.3 It has to do with the gift of His beloved Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who
