There comes a time in everyone’s lie when the need to act takes precedence over the preservation o one’s own security. As we embark uponour third year o Republic Magaine, this July 4th I am reminded o the need to act that has consumed my every breath and gave birth to thispublication only 24 months earlier. Some say that what we did was a great thing, yet I can only reply that it was our duty and my honor to thosethat bought my reedom with blood, with sweat, and with steel.Both the pen and the sword have a place in the re-birth o liberty. Over 233 years ago, brave men and women stood up against tyranny andwere labeled terrorists by the ruling class. They were hunted by the crown and sieable bounties were placed upon their heads. I their desireor sel-preservation outweighed the need or action, Liberty might never have been born.We stand on the verge o a great American Renaissance, one in which we have the privilege to participate. It is my honor to standbeside you in deense o what is right and just … to sweat, to cry and to bleed together, i necessary. And in the end, our posterity will havethe renewed promise o a prosperous lie, without limitation.
