Board of Directors Responsibilities
1. Attend all board meetings & functions1.1. Prepare for each meeting by reviewing materials1.2. Provide candid and constructive comments2. Contribute to the development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of thestrategic plan3. Promote the BIAAZ mission, programs and services4. Ensure programs & services adequately address participant needs4.1. Develop awareness of state and national trends and medicalinnovations that impact the quality of life of survivors5. Agree to participate on a committee, task force, or special assignment at leastonce during a board term6. Invest in the professional development of the Board of Directors6.1. Foster a commitment to enhance personal knowledge of boardresponsibilities6.2. Participate in trainings, retreats and workshops6.3. Share expertise7. Make a personal financial contribution to the BIAAZ at least annually8. Become a member of BIAAZ9. Recommend possible nominees for the Board of Directors10. Develop knowledge of board financial, legal and public responsibilities10.1. Follow conflict of interest policy10.2. Assist BOD in carrying out fiduciary responsibilities10.3.
