Vikings

and why Id really want to be one.

Overview
Vikings were from Denmark, Norway and Sweden. They were mainly known for their long boats fearsome helmets. You may think becoming a Viking would be any boys dream, and it is ,all the fighting and sailing and here some reasons Id would've LOVE to be a Viking.

They bathed in natural hot springs lots

Vikings bathed at least once a week much more than other Europeans of their dayand enjoyed dips in natural hot springs.

Vikings skied for fun

Scandinavians developed skis at least 6,000 years ago, though ancient Russians may have invented them even earlier. By the Viking Age, Norsemen thought of skiing as an efficient way to get around and a popular hobby. They even worshipped a god of skiing!

They had weird ways of starting fires. They would collect a fungus called touchwood from tree bark and boil it for several days in urine before pounding it into something akin to felt. The sodium nitrate found in urine would allow the material to smoulder rather than burn, so Vikings could take fire with them on the go.

That is the reasons I would LOVE to be a Viking.
