DAY PERIOD PROVIDED FOR INFEDERAL RULE OF CIVIL
PROCEDURE 62(a)
 
Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 62(a) provides that: “Except as stated herein, no
execution shall issue upon a judgment nor s
hall proceedings be taken for its enforcement untilthe expiration of 10 days after its entry.” Judgment was most recently entered on June 2, 2009.
Accordingly, the 10
-
day period provided for in Rule 62(a) lasts through June 16, 2009. The
parties have been discussing the security to be provided to satisfy the requirements of Rule 62(b),
but have not yet reached agreement. The parties desire a few more days to conclude negotiationsregarding the proposed form of security. The parties hereby jointly requ
est that the period be
briefly extended, through June 22, 2009, in order to allow the parties to finalize a security

arrangement. If the parties agree on an alternative form of security, they will file papers jointlyrequesting approval from the Court of 
the alternate security under Rule 62(d) and an automatic
stay of enforcement of the money judgment. The parties previously requested, and the Courtgranted, extensions of the 10

day period provided for in Rule 62(a) following entry of judgment
in August 2006.
