Program: Human Resource Professional Development Program (HRPDP)

The Human Resource Professional Development Program (HRPDP) is a rotational, 2-year program designed to develop future HR professional leaders to further their understanding of human resources and provide them the exposure to the business as a whole. The professionals are rotated across three existing HR functions within Caterpillar to help them understand the Caterpillar HR model.

There is a clear expectation of mobility and placement across various CAT locations depending on the assignments/rotations. After the rotation program, the incumbents are placed in response to the business needs.

The job functions could include some or all of the following:

* Recruiting needs/planning * New employee orientation * Liaise and interface with Regional and
Corporate Human Resources

* Compensation + Benefit

* Tactical and strategic support of employee issues in


some or all of the following areas

* Performance Management Process; * Relocations / International Service Employee Issues; * Labor Relations Issues; * Communication of human resources related
material; * Employee Opinion Survey analysis and communication; * Annual Succession Planning process; * Performance of duties associated with Governmental regulations and internal investigations; * Administration of payroll, salary administration, PeopleSoft related activities; * Learning initiatives and various other human resources related duties.

* This position will proactively participate in long

range strategic planning to assure the culture and organizational environment enhances efficiency and productivity resulting in human resources management best practices

* Identify and implement programs and processes


* Position will also develop and recommend solutions
to problems of limited scope and complexity while working under general supervision

* Typical internal customers include the

employees at all levels in one or more facilities and/or Divisions. Work is reviewed for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
