I would like to createan opt-in neighborhood phonedirectory or listing on thewebsite too.We need to get more peopleinvolved and increase thepercentage of dues payingmembers which right now ishovering at around 30%. We have alot of talented, creative andenergetic people in thisneighborhood. We need to tap intothese resources to help us achievethese goals.I’m excited about thisopportunity. I look forward toworking with the executivecommittee and meeting morepeople in this great neighborhood. Iencourage you to contact me withyour ideas and, more importantly, how you plan to execute your idea! Finally, I want to thank IlayaHopkins for her two years of dedicated service to EBCA. Sheand her team have taken on a lot of issues facing our community. Oneof the most important efforts, inmy opinion, is developing ourwebsite. You need to check it out if you haven’t already, www.ebca.org.In addition, we have been wellrepresented on the Purple Line,BRAC and school choice issues, notto mention the social events suchas the Halloween parade and laborday picnic. We are fortunate tohave a great voice for EBCA asIlaya focuses her efforts on a largercounty scale.
