Alabama§ 8-12-11. Assignment of mark and registration; fee; recordation andissuance of new certificate; effect of failure to record.Any mark and its registration under this article shall be assignable withthe good will of the business in which the mark is used, or with thatpart of the good will of the business connected with the use of andsymbolized by the mark. Assignment shall be by instruments in writingduly executed and may be recorded with the Secretary of State upon thepayment of a fee of $30, payable to the Secretary of State, who, uponrecording of the assignment, shall issue in the name of the assignee anew certificate for the remainder of the term of the registration or ofthe last renewal thereof.Alaska§ 45.50.120. Assignment(a) A mark and its registration are assignable with the goodwill of thebusiness in which the mark is used, or with that part of the goodwill ofthe business connected with the use of and symbolized by the mark.(b) An assignment shall be in writing and may be filed with thecommissioner upon the payment of a fee of $25 to the department. Thecommissioner shall file the assignment and shall issue in the name of theassignee a new certificate for the remainder of the term of theregistration.Arizona§ 44-1446. (1) A registered mark or a mark for which an application for registrationhas been filed shall be assignable with the goodwill of the business inwhich the mark is used or with that part of the goodwill of the businessconnected with the use of and symbolized by the mark. Assignment of trademark or service mark and its registration;recordingAny trademark or service mark and its registration under this part shallbe assignable with the good will of the business in which the trademarkor service mark is used or with that part of the good will of thebusiness connected with the use of and symbolized by the trademark orservice mark. Assignment shall be by instruments in writing duly executedand may be recorded with the Secretary of State upon the payment of a feeof $15.00, payable to the Secretary of State, who, upon recording of theassignment, shall issue in the name of the assignee a new certificate forthe remainder of the term of the registration or of the last renewalthereof.Hawai’i[§ 482-26]. Assignment; change of name(a) The registration of a mark shall be assignable with the goodwill ofthe business in which the mark is used, or with that part of the goodwillof the business connected with the use of and symbolized by the mark. Anassignment shall be executed in writing and may be recorded by filing anapplication with the director and paying an appropriate recording fee.Upon recording of the assignment, the director shall issue a newcertificate for the remainder of the term of the registration or of thelast renewal thereof in the name of the new assignee.Idaho§ 48-507.
