North Creek Park is a regional park withinthe Snohomish County Parks andRecreation System. The Bailey family,historic homesteaders, originally ownedthe land and used it for timber harvestand later for farming. It was acquired foruse as a regional stormwater detentionfacility and to provide flood control, but italso offers a rich habitat for a variety of birds, mammals and amphibians.Throughout the year, pedestrians takeadvantage of the through park boardwalk that provides an excellent vantage pointto view this rich and diverse environment.
