Keyword Research
 
Keyword research is one of the most important parts of search engine optimization. Whichkeywords you choose determines not only who you are as a business, but also who youraudience will be. Selecting the correct keywords is essential in targeting the right traffic andincreasing conversions to your site.While the keyword research process can be time-consuming it is important to take the time tomake sure each keyword identified
fits your site and your company‟s message

Keyword Research Tools 
 
There are several different tools that can be used for keyword research. We have identified themost common tools below. They are broken down into free, paid and Pay-Per-Click.Free
Google Adwords Keyword Tool
 https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal The Google Adwords Keyword Tool is helpful in the keyword research process forsuggesting terms. The tool will not give you any search volume figures but it will showadditional terms or potential modifiers for the terms you enter. The Google AdwordsKeyword tool is most beneficial during the initial research/brainstorming process.
Overture
 
Keyword Suggestion Tool
 http://inventory.overture.com Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool is perhaps the best free tool currently out there. It iseasy to use and provides search volume based off of the Yahoo! partner network. (YahooSearch Marketing statistics account for approximately 20% to 25% of the Internetsearches conducted). Overture can also be helpful throughout the keyword researchprocess as it provides other terms that contain your keyword phrase. It does not accountfor plural variations of words and often times is hard to access due to volume.
