Mava Books, a division of Mava Research Corporation, invites authors to submit book manuscripts for our company to publish, distribute and sell them internationally.

We welcome any type of book written in any South African language.

The primary objective of Mava Books is to attain and maintain a position as
- The source of sustainable income for the majority of new and unknown authors in South Africa and those that have lost hope in the job market.
- The publisher of choice for new and unknown authors in South Africa and to give a “voice to the voiceless” South Africans.

Mava Books is part of a national effort to reduce inequality and poverty in South Africa, which is experiencing one of the highest unemployment levels in the world. In 2012, Statistics South Africa indicated that 40% of the South African labour force (8 779 621 people) is unemployed.

We contribute to this national effort by offering authors a generous royalty fee of 20% of the book price. According to the 2011 Annual Book Publishing Industry Report Survey of the Publishers’ Association of South Africa, royalty rates for authors range between 4.3% and 14.7%, depending on the type of book. We also employ language editors, translators and graphic designers.

Manuscript should be submitted online at www.mava.co.za for further consideration.
