 +hese ,ules shall 'overn the proce&ure to be observe& in actions# civil or cri%inal an& special procee&in's.(a) A civil action is one by hich a party sues another for the enforce%ent or protection of a ri'ht# or the prevention or re&ress of a ron'# (-a# ,2) A civil action %ay either be or&inary or special. oth are 'overne& by the rules for or&inary civil actions# sub/ect to the specific rules prescribe& for a special civil action. (n)(b) A cri%inal action is one by hich the $tate prosecutes a person for an act or o%ission punishable by la.
