Tested. Trusted. A Fighter for Michigan.
The Ruth Report
Dear Friend & Supporter, I’m so pleased to announce thathe state’s Mackinac Bridgelicense plate is here.
The five
mile bridge opened in1957 and today is still the longest  suspension bridge in the westernhemisphere. It doesn’t matter howmany times I’ve seen it, themoment the bridge comes intoview, it’s still breathtaking.
The new plate can be purchased by mail (we have an order form onour website at www.michigan.gov/sos)or at any of our branch offices. It will be replacing the Spectacular Peninsu-las plate, which is being phased out.The cost is $5 plus regular registra-tion fees.
In other news, I was very proud to present the Detroit Tigers with one of our Shining Star awards for all they havedone to promote organ donation. It was a great evening at Comerica Park and best of all, the Detroit Tigers won!
Looking forward to seeing many of  you at the upcoming Republican Leadership Conference on Mackinac Island. Please keep an eye out for aninvitation to our “Welcome Aboard” Barbecue Reception at 1:00 p.m.September 20 at the Island House. We would love for you to join us!
