Abstract
This project contains two chapters one has prospective of working system of Virtual University while other chapter contain research about contribution of Virtual University of Pakistan towards E-Learning.In order to educate the Pakistani nation in the minimum time, government of Pakistan adopted the Hybrid model of knowledge transfer in shape of VirtualUniversity. Hybrid model of education involves the broadcasting medium such astelevision, the Internet and the physical campuses where the students areactually seated to receive education. The professors that are rated as the bestones in their field deliver the lecture through television broadcast. The teachingfaculties that actually interact with the students are available over the Internet,and respond to student’s issues and problems through the email and the learningmanagement system placed on VU server. The learning management systemhas the course contents, FAQ, resources and links available. The best mode of communication on learning management system (VU-LMS) is the ModeratedDiscussion Board (MDB). The tutors or e-tutors play the pivotal role in impartingeducation to the nation. They are mentors, guide and problem solvers for their students.The second chapter is all about revolving around the research on “Contribution of Virtual University of Pakistan toward E-Learning”. For this purpose, we usequestionnaire as a basic research tool and collect the data for scientificinvestigation. As we collect the data, we feed it into Microsoft excel for further study. The different pie charts depicts the different result are interpreted further.Results indicates that majority of the respondents (88%) were of the opinion thatvirtual education integrates nation through uniform system of higher educationand also a majority of the respondents (86%) were of the opinion that virtualeducation enhances the performance level of the learners in Pakistan. At the endof chapter conclusion and recommendations are clarifying more picture of thisresearch by adding value.
