Why use NATURAL Iron Oxide Pigments in Colored Block and Pavers?
Economical
Ochre and Umber are the most economical colorants in the pigment industry. Ochre can be used alone to create a natural buff color, or to significantly reduce the amount of the more expensive synthetic yellow iron oxide.
Color Consistency
New Riverside Ochre adheres to strict quality control tests during the production process, which ensures superior reliability of color and consistency. The pigment color of each product is monitored and held to a variance of less than +/- 1.5%.
Color Strength
Curry N500 (NIROXTM500) are concentrated ochre pigments with an average particle size of <1 micron and 6 Hegman grind. The particle size, iron oxide concentration and refractive index of 2.83 make it an excellent pigment for concrete products, blocks, pavers, and other applications where a buff color and good opacity are desired. It is available as a powder or in a granular form. Custom color matches can be provided.
Price Stability
Unlike the synthetic colorants which are often produced in China and can have potential pricing variability, New Riverside Ochre mines the natural iron oxide in the USA and can offer longer-term pricing stability.
Permanence
New Riverside Ochre has decades of mineral reserves and up to six years of stock piled mined ore ready for processing. Orders ship promptly from our production facility in Cartersville, GA in 50 lb. paper bags, one ton super sacks, or bulk trucks. Custom packaging is also available.
