The passwords “PA1and “PA2” are usedto access level 1 and level 2 parameters. To change them and assign them thedesired value, access the ‘parameter pro-gramming menu’ in the “diS” label folder. The password is requested:- PA1 when entering the ‘parameter pro-gramming menu’;- PA2 in the “Cnf” folder containing thelevel 1 parameters.
USINGTHE COPYCARD
The Copy card function can be used toupload and download parameter mapsof one or more of the same type of instrument. The accessory is connectedto the device using the special TTL serialport on the instrument. The Copy cardcan be used for the following functions:
Upload (UL)
The upload function reads the instru-ment parameters and writes them ontothe Copy card
Download(dL)
The download function writes the para-meter map present at that time on thecopy card onto the instrument memory.
NOTE:Upload = instrument—-> Copy cardDownload = Copy card —-> instrument
The operations are performed by access-ing the folder with the ‘FPr’ label andselecting the ‘UL’, ’dL’ or ‘Fr’ com-mands. The operation is confirmed bypressing the ‘set’ button. If the operationis successful, a “y” is displayed whereas if it is unsuccessful an “n” will be dis-played.
Formatting the copy card
This function is necessary when using thecopy card for uploading for the firsttime or when using the copy card ondevice models that are not compatible.
NOTE: formatting deletes all the dataon the Copy card and cannot beundone. Download from reset
Once the copy card has been connectedthe instrument is switched on. When thelamp test is over, one of the followingtwo labels will be displayed for 5 sec-onds:- dLY if the operation is successful- label DLn if operation fails The displaywill then go into default position (probeor set point).
NOTE: after downloading the instru-ment will begin to work with the newparameter map that has just beendownloaded.REMOTECONTROLSYSTEMS(/CS LX models only)
Televis remote control systems can beconnected using the RS 485 serial input. To configure the instrument to do this, you need to access the folder with the“Add” label and use the “dEA” and “FAA”parameters.
ADVANCEDFUNCTIONS
DOOR SWITCHINPUT
This is a clean contact digital input withprogrammable polarity. The door switchinput functions are controlled by thevalues of the following parameters:Parameter H11 is used to configure thedoor switch input with values between-8 and +8. Positive and negative valuesare present in order to select the polari-ty assigned to the input:
NOTE:the ‘-’ sign indicates that the input isactivated when the contact is closedThe ‘+’ sign indicates that the input isactivated when the contact is open.LIGHTCONTROLLER
Controls the light relay. The function canbe started in two different ways. If youpress the light button the light relay isswitched on if it was off and is switchedoff if it was on. The light status isrecorded by the device as soon as thebutton is pressed so that when power isrestored after a black-out the device cancontinue to operate in the same way asbefore the power failure. The followingparameters control how the light works:The configuration of these parameterscontrols the status of the light relay byusing the digital input as well as the nor-mal button. The parameter dSd automat-ically switches on the light relay whenthe digital input is enabled and switchesit off when the digital input is disabledfollowing the delay set by parameter dLt.Parameter H06 activates the light buttonand enables the relay when the door isopen even when the instrument is pow-ered but is ‘off’. The dedicated buttonalways deactivates the light relay even if the digital input is on or during the dLtdelay only if the parameter OFL=Y.
DIAGNOSTICS
PROBEALARMS
When one of the probes is outside thenominal operating range or the probe isopen or has shorted, an alarm is gener-ated if at least one of these conditionspersists for at least 10 seconds. If at least one of these 3 alarms is sig-nalled the alarm LED and relay areenabled. When activated code E1 appears on thedisplay. If several alarms are activated atthe same time, they are displayed alter-nately for 2 seconds each.An error condition in the room probeleads to:- E1 code appears on display- activation of compressor as indicatedby Ont and OFt- deactivation of maximum and mini-mum alarm controller. An error condi-tion in the defrost probe leads to:- E2 code appearing on display- end of defrost due to a time-out

MINIMUMANDMAXIMUMTEMPERA-TUREALARM
The alarm is regulated on the roomprobe. The temperature limits aredefined by parameters HAL and LAL.The limits refer to the set point if para-meter Att=1 and are absolute if Att=0.
NOTE: If the alarms are relative, theparameter HA1 is set to positive val-ues and LA1 to negative values.CLOCKBATTERYALARM
This alarm is activated in the followingsituations:- when the instrument is switched on forthe first time and the clock is set- when the instrument is switched onagain after a power off lasting more than24/32 hours. The alarm will stop as soon as theday/hour/minutes are set using the setparameters.Resetting is automatic and there is noneed to restart the instrument.
ALARMWITHTHRESHOLDREFERRINGTOPROBE3
An alarm is associated with probe 3 thatrefers to a threshold that is reset at aspecified differential.By setting parameter PbA=3 probe 3 willsignal a high or low temperature alarmfor exceeding the set value. The alarm is handled in the same way asthe other temperature alarms and stan-dard signal delays are used.
DEFROSTALARM
If defrosting does not reach the end of cycle temperature but is terminated by atime out, the alarm controller is immedi-ately activated. An alarm LED remains on and the alarmis recorded in the Ad2 label alarm menu. The alarm is automatically reset as soonas the next defrost cycle starts. Thealarm LED can only be manuallyswitched off with a silencing procedure.
EXTERNALALARM
It is set if the digital input is enabledwith the delay specified by parameterdAd and remains enabled until the nexttime the digital input is deactivated. The alarm consists of an alarm LED thatremains on, activation of a buzzer anddeactivation of all the device loads (if specified by the EAL parameter). If an external alarm is present the EAlabel is displayed in the AL folder. It is reset the next time the digital inputis deactivated and the buzzer can bemanually silenced.
OPEN DOORALARM
This alarm is generated when the door isopen for longer than the value specifiedin parameter tdO.door open alarm is signalled in thealarm folder (AL) and the LED and alarmrelay are switched on.The OPd label is also displayed. The relay can be deactivated by pressingthe silencing button. The LED continuesto flash intermittently and the OPd labelremains in the alarm menu until thedoor is closed.
