Project Benefits
The project will allow the Bayport Container Terminal to handle over 2 million TEUs by 2025, helping to support international trade with more than 1000 ports in 203 countries. With the global shipping industry using ever larger container ships, the project will help the Port of Houston keep up with the trend. Productivity improvements and reduced delays and idling time for trucks is expected to lower port emissions and improve local air quality.
