A friend recommended this book after hearing the author speak on a radio show. We both got copies to read and see if we can use the material for a women's retreat later this year. The author writes well and can put out a zinger with some good humor that doesn't diminish the truth of the zinger. The topic is important and he does a great job of stressing why the truth is better than the myths (dumb things) that we believe, often without even realizing we believe it.His arguments are biblical, he encourages the reader to go back to the Bible over and over to test the truth of the things we say and hear and believe. Much of what passes for Christianity really isn't, it can't be found in the Bible. And believing things that aren't true leads to wrong expectations, bad actions, and frustrated lives. But the truth will set you free. This book provides a look at the truth and why it is better. This book is an easy read, but a convicting read for any Christian.
