Preface

The life I used to have before was destroyed. Now, here I am in Woodland,New York, and already trouble has started- the trouble that was never ended. He's here with me, and that’s all that counts right now- and forever to come. For the
love
that
is
all
holy
,
 please
let me
keep
him.I stared out of my window, and wondered how long this go could on for?How long will he keep this from me?I continued to stare out my vast window, and wonder how long this could goon for, and wondered if it would ever stop. Now the truth is heard and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it.Sonny and Uncle Paulie took me into their family; I'm not than grateful forthem.
1. Arrival

Rolling the windows in my car seemed like a good idea, since itwas so nice outside. It was autumn. The temperature outside wasfifty-five, meaning for me to roll down the windows in my car. Iwas wearing a fair isle V-neck sweater dress. It was light brown, with pink stripes and a little of black dots.Getting away from home seemed like a good idea, especiallywith my four best friends - that are all riding in their own cars.I'm driving a Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class Convertible that was red.My other friends were driving their convertibles.I was driving from Florida, and heading towards Woodland, New York. I was born in New York, for about seven years of my life, andthen my father moved us down to Orlando, Florida. The reason why I moved to Florida was because of a tragicaccident with my mother. She died of a drug overdose. I wasabout five when she died. My father re-married about two yearslater, with my step-mom, but she later died of a stroke, at herfriend’s house. My father left me with my stepmother when I wasabout fourteen, and never returned.I wanted a getaway from everything that ever happened to mein the past, and I now have it. I'm twenty-one, and moving in witha bunch of young adults, who were all born and raised in Florida. In the back seat of my car was my best friend, Daisy. She hatesthe idea of moving, but I'm not turning back around- I'm inVirginia now!Daisy is about three months older than I am. We don't look alike, but most people say we do. We both have naturally wavieststraight hair. Her hair is a dark-brown hair color, while mine is areddish-brown color. Daisy always leaves her hair down while Icurl mine into the thinnest curls. Afterwards, I pin it to the sideand it looks like a young Marilyn Monroe look. We both have thesame beauty mark that is located on the bottom of our littlestfinger. We have been friends since second grade, both of ourmothers have died, but that only made us weaker- at some times. She is my best friend.Daisy was slouched in the backseat, with her arms crossed onher chest. Her bottom lip stuck out just a bit."Daisy, please,
this
is what we
all
want." I promised her. I toldher this about five thousand times already."Are you sure it's not what
 you
want?" she challenged.
