Outstanding Violinist

We often hear about the problems people with disabilities face such as physical obstacles, social rejection, academic failure, and medical crises. Yet, some people do overcome significant challenges and lead successful lives. Most of them never give up on their dreams or abilities. They even recognize their responsibility for their own happiness and future. Based on the inspiring story A Violin With Three Strings written by Stephen, I found out that the main character, Itzhak Perlman is one of the disabled people who become one of the worlds greatest and most famous violinists. From this story, I like the values portrayed by the writer. It is about the importance of determination in life. I learn that we need determination and a desire to change. When I read this story, at the second paragraph it surprises me when the writer said Izthak Perlman has a problem because in the first paragraph he looks like someone who is perfect and famous. From second paragraph I know that he contracted polio and lost the use of his legs since he was a child. He walks with the aid of two crutches on his arms by himself. I believe that he has a personal charm which makes him such an outstanding person. From paragraph four, when the writer said that the audience is used to Izthak Perlman ritual and they wait for him to play, I can say that the world has fallen in love with his music. After I read the whole story, I am amazed when he decides to take risk to continue his performances even one of the strings on his violin broke. It shows that he is brave and never fails to bring audiences to their feet. I believe nothing worthwhile comes without risk. Without risk, success cannot be achieved. Since I love science and technology, this story reminds me about Thomas Edison who is one of the great inventors in world. Thomas Edison is the great inventor who has over 1000 patents and his inventions are in various fields used in our daily life. In his early life he was thought to have a learning disability and he could not read till he was twelve and later he himself admitted that he became deaf after pulling up to a train car by his ears. He first could able to turn the attention of the world after inventing Phonograph. His one of the most popular invention is the Electric Bulb. He also developed the telegraph

system. His invention of carbon telephone transmitter developed the carbon microphone which was used in the telephoned till 1980. He also became a prominent businessman and his business institution produced his inventions and marketed the products to the general people. I adore him because he was an amazing person and he did not let his problem hinder his goals in life. Before this, I was just about giving up believing in myself that I can do something miracle but by the spirit of Itzhak Perlman shows, it opened my eyes and made me realize that I need to believe in myself and never underestimate what someone can accomplish. For me, they are heroes, any matter they experienced or what they had gone through they always find a way to achieve their goals.
