"THE LOOK OF LOVE"

What is the look of love? It’s a young woman standing before her aged father. Half ahead shorter than the slightly slumped figure of her papa she stands in her simplehousedress and flats. Her long black hair combed neatly falls to her neck caressing eachside of her lovely oval face. Her sparkling, dark brown eyes smile as she beholds her  papa’s worn and wrinkled, yet gentle face. He stands motionless and patiently waits asshe brushes the faded lapels of his only suit. Smilingly yet silently she straightens her  papa’s tie and pulls it snugly to his collar. She bends back slightly from the waist, tiltsher head a bit to one side, as if to scrutinize her handiwork, clutches her hands around her  papa’s neck, broadens her already lovely smile in such a way so as to radiate love fromher entire being throughout the room, nay, throughout the world even to the heavens, for Iam sure that even God must have felt the warmth of that smile. Papa did…he began tosmile back ‘till his lip trembled slightly and misty tears gathered in his eyes. She knewand understood without a word being spoken. She wouldn’t allow her father to beembarrassed, if one can be embarrassed by the look of love. She leaned forward andtenderly kissed his cheek. Papa reached up and gently stroked his daughter’s soft silkenhair, pressing it delicately against her blushing cheek. Then they said good-by...and papaleft. And as he walked out of the warm home into the cold unfeeling world, her eyes
