(1820-1910), consideredthe founder of educated and scientific and widelyknown as "The Lady with the Lamp" wrote the firstnursing notes that became the basis of nursingpractice and research. The notes, entitled Notes onNursing: What it is, What is not (1860), listed some of her theories that have served as foundations of nursing practice in various settings, including thesucceeding and in the field of Nursing. Nightingale isconsidered the first nursing theorist. One of her theories was the Environmental Theory, whichincorporated the restoration of the usual health statusof the nurse's clients into the delivery of it is stillpracticed today.Nightingale's theory was show to be applicableduring the Crimean war along with other nurses shehad trained, took care of injured soldiers by attendingto their immediate needs, when communicabledisease and rapid spread of disease were rampantin this early period in the development of disease-capable medicines.
