Father’s Day Message_zarahlim

Dad’s roles in the family:
1. PROVIDER
"I've had a hard life, but my hardships are nothing against the hardshipsthat my father went through in order to get me to where I started."
-Bartrand Hubbard- Fathers sacrifice a lot of their personal pleasure just so theycan provide for the family's needs.- Our dads have to work in order to feed us. They need to workhard so they can provide for our clothes, our house, our schooltuition and other needs, etc.- I never realized how much my dad sacrificed for us until Istarted working myself. I mean, how manages pay for all thebills and still have enough to treat us? Amazing!- But of course, there are times when we run short of resources.That’s when I see less of my dad. He’s always in the room,figuring out the expenses (and praying about it as well.)- Fathers, yes, your responsibility as the family’s provider iscrucial. But don’t forget that you have a Heavenly Father ready to do everything (and more!) for you just as you are toyour family.
God the Father as our PROVIDER (Matthew 6:25-34)
- There will be times when we will experience hardships in life,but Jesus tells us not to worry because our Father in heavenknows all our needs.- If we put God first, we do not have to worry because God willprovide for it.2. PROTECTOR- Dads make us feel safe.- They serve as our champion, our defender when someone isbullying us, or when someone harms us.
o
Examples:
When someone makes a rude remark toyour wife;
When someone is treating your kids badly;
When your daughter is about to go on adate.- Fathers, the best way to protect your family is to
cover themin prayer
.
o

There is a spiritual battle going on for the souls of your wife and kids and the well being of your family. You defend against the enemy in prayer Pray as in
 Ephesians 6:10-18.
Pastor Brian Haynes
- My sisters and I are blessed because, aside from knowing andhaving a personal relationship with the Lord, we have Christianparents to cover us in prayer.
