There were two reactions when the disciplesvisited the tomb Easter morning. Initially therewas a feeling of emptiness as the tomb was nowempty – their Lord was gone. But the strangerwalking with a few disciples on the road to Em-maus moved them to the joy of a deeper under-standing – their Lord has risen. I hope that in your journey through Lent to Easter that you discov-ered the joy in the resurrection and were spiritu-ally renewed. This season is the essence of ourfaith. The goal of a Catholic school is teach thegospel messages through all the courses. Whenstudents “leave” our school upon graduation, wepray that they leave with five accomplishments. We hope that they will:1. Leave the school a better place for havingbeen part of it2. Leave smarter3. Leave healthier4. Leave with compassion and respect5. Leave spiritually enrichedParents have a role in assisting the school to reachthese goals for their children.Parent/Teacher Interviews are being held Thurs-day, April 24

OUR FAITH EXPERIENCES
CHAPLAIN’S CORNERThe past couple of months have beenvery full with faith experiences as we jour-neyed through Lent to this Easter season. We began Lent with an Ash Wednesday lit-urgy in the forum. Students and staff partici-pated in the liturgy and we had a presentationby the Dominican Republic ExperienceGroup. Students did a commendable job col-lecting donations for the mission that thegroup will be visiting. At about the half way point in Lent wehad four priests here at school to celebratethe Sacrament of Reconciliation with stu-dents. There was a noticeable increase in thenumber of students who celebrated thisbeautiful sacrament since the last opportunityduring Advent. Students seemed to find it anextremely positive experience. Please con-tinue to encourage your teens to experiencethe Sacrament of Reconciliation. On Thursday March 20
