Attendance: 89 Offering: $3,026.04 Sept. 8, Sun.-Back to School ball game from 3-5 p.m. at Brubaker Park. A hot dog roast will follow at 5:30 p.m. at the home of Nelson and Dianne Gehman. Hot dogs, rolls, condiments, paper supplies and water will be supplied. Please bring along a dish to share. Sept. 9, Mon.-Ministry Team Meeting, 6 p.m., Board of Elders Meeting at 7 p.m. Thanks for your prayers for these meetings. If you have questions, encouragement, suggestions, etc. for our church, please share them with the ministry team. Your input is welcomed. Sept. 11, Wed.-JGA, JBA and Jr. Youth will begin meeting again at the

Bowmansville Mennonite Church, from 7-8:30 p.m. JGA and JBA are mostly made up of 2nd-5th graders, and Jr. Youth is 6,7,8th grade students. JGA leaders are Cindy Horning, Heidi Charles and Anita Ringler. JBA leaders are Rick Ringler, Brian Martin and Zane Gehman. Jr. Youth leaders are Kary & Audrey Haller and Ammon & Christine Martin. Any children in any of these age groups are welcome to attend. Feel free to contact a leader if you have any questions. This Wednesday JBA and JGA will have Get Acquainted evenings Sept. 14, Sat.- Cookies are needed for the Landis Homes Chicken BBQ. Please sign up on the table in the narthex if you are willing to donate 4 dozen, 2-3 inch cookies with no frosting. Have them here in the kitchen by noon on Fri. Sept. 13th. See the brochure on the bulletin board for details of the sale. Sept. 15, Sun. -A hymn sing will held in the 1855 Alleghany Mennonite Meetinghouse, (near Alleghenyville) at 2 p.m. Jim Garman of Lititz, PA will lead hymns from the Life Songs #2. One day a month is set aside to work on relief items that continue the mission of MCC. The special project for Sept. is....Aids Caregiver Kits- Please enclose all or partial following items in a bag or box & Sewing Circle will transport them to MRC. Contents- 2 lg bars bath soap in wrapper, 2 lg bars laundry soap (Fels Naptha, Sunlight, Zote brands, 2 hand towels (med. weight, bright color), 1 set twin bed sheets with pillowcase (1 flat sheet, 1 fitted sheet, 1 standard pillowcase; or 2 twin flat sheets & 1 standard pillowcase), 1 moisture-proof mattress cover (twin size, flat or fitted), 1 bx disposable rubber gloves (100 count, med. or lg. size, latex free), 1 container petroleum jelly (13 oz in ziplock bag), 1 container medicated body powder (such as 10 oz Gold Bond), 1 bx adhesive bandages (min. 40, assorted), 1 fingernail clipper (good quality), 5 squeeze tube toothpastes (6 oz, leave in bx), 5 toothbrushes (adult size in wrapper),$100 to purchase medicines & Bibles, to train volunteers & provide food & travel allowances for volunteers -Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy - Jesus Sept. 21, Sat.- Adopt a Ducky Duck Race at Lititz Springs Park- This is a fundraiser event for the Miner familys adoption. The Miners are missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators, and they are adopting a boy from Eastern Europe. For any amount donation, you can adopt a rubber ducky to race down Lititz Run. Come join us! It will be a family event, with games, food, and fun! Ducky registration starts at 10 a.m., and the race will be at 12 p.m. Candy scramble at 11 a.m., and food sold until 11:30 a.m. Contact Aaron and Danielle Miner for more information at 717-389-2857 or email home4camden@gmail.com. -Our church has been invited to consider participating in a new (began in Jan.) free community meal program (Cocalico Community Dinners). It is a multi-church effort to show God's love by providing a monthly (4th Thursday, 6-7pm) free meal in Denver (currently at Trinity United Methodist Church). There are currently around six churches participating and they are looking for more churches to

consider coordinating 1-2 meals yearly. If you sense a leading and / or interest in this type of ministry or have questions please see Pastor Phil. -Thank you for your gifts of winter clothing for Syrian refugees. If any of you are still planning to contribute to this cause please have your donations in the boxes in the narthex by Sunday, Sept. 15. The clothing will then be taken to the MCC Material Aid Center where it will be prepared for shipping by late Sept. or early Oct.
