The global sponsorship and marketing directors of some of the biggest companies in the world will be brought together for the first time at the 2006 Motor Sport Business Forum.
The two\u00adday conference and exhibition, which takes place in Monaco from December 6 2006, will welcome top executives from financial giants RBS and Allianz, fuel group Total, computer firms Intel and SAP, and beverages company Diageo. These six companies alone represent over $350 billion in annual turnover.
All will take an active role in the conference. Marty Olivero, Intel\u2019s director of global sponsorship, will talk about the global activation of a Formula One deal. Sean Jefferson, Diageo\u2019s global sponsorship director, will speak about how to leverage sponsorship in the sport.
RBS\u2019s head of sponsorship David Webb will offer a comparison between his company\u2019s deals in Formula One and golf. Denis Marcel, competition director for the Total Group, will talk about the sponsorship value gained from the supplier relationship in Formula One.
These speakers will be joined at the conference by F1 team principals, leading sponsorship agents and circuit bosses. Also present will be representatives from the sport\u2019s governing body F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de l'Automobile, and commercial rights\u00adholder Formula One Management.
