K-pop Fans Good morning to our beloved lecturer and all my fellow friends.

For my presentation, I would like to talk about KPOP Fans because I am one of them. What is K-pop? The Korean Popular Music International Fan bases Study explores the appeal of post-1997 Korean Popular Music, K-pop for international audiences. Dr. Anderson asserts that K-pop appeals to international audiences because of its hybridized nature, which combines elements of African American and Korean culture. If you are a K-pop fan, it is seemingly impossible to avoid talk of Hallyu and, especially these days, K-pops increasingly rapid expanse towards the American and Western markets. Firstly, I would like to talk about what a Psychologist says about k-pop fans? Based on psychologists research, they found that those children who chase after Korean celebrities have a purer hearts than anyone else. This is because, we love courageously, and we will want to try our best to tackle difficult obstacles, the language and cultural barriers. Not only that, we also symbolize peace. We do not discriminate based on race and befriend people with the same interest from different countries such as America, Indonesia and even Arab Saudi. We also do not betray the ones that we like easily, we are persistent and do not give up easily. Next, we are also stronger than anyone else on the inside, because when we love these Korean stars, we experience the setbacks we have never experience in life. Furthermore, we have a good memory, we can easily remember the Korean lyrics that we do not understand. In short, the way we think is vastly different from others and only those who have similar interests are able to enter their world. There are pros and cons for being K-pop fans. Many people, always keep asking me what are the advantages being a K-pop fan? As a K-pop fan, in my opinion, I made new friends and be close friends with them. I know how to love others as if they are my blood siblings. We always communicate like we already know each other for a long time. I know how to strengthen my inner self because of the people around me that are the absolute contrary of me. They always tried to provoke or critic about our interest. Besides, I also can learn new language. Most people who do not like K-pop always said to me that it is no use for me to learn Korean language because I will not use it in my daily life. But for me, it is same as

learning English language. It gives me a satisfaction when I know how to speak and read the language and because of the interest, I enjoyed learning it although it is quite hard learning the language alone. In addition, when I feel stress, I will listen to K-pop songs and sing and dance along with it. Lastly, being a K-pop fan also make me a creative person. This is because, I really love to edit their pictures or make a video about them. The disadvantages are for those who really obsessed with K-pop they will use their money to buy stuffs such as photo books, posters and CD which costs them a lot of money. Not only that, when we watched Korean movie, we will be obsessed and watch it until the movie is finish which will cause us to spend a lot of time. This is where, a time management is very important especially for a student. Not only music, Korean fashion also become a phenomenon. Most of the clothes are sexy. As a Muslim and Malay, it is against our culture and religion. As a conclusion, only those who have similar interests are able to enter our world. Be a K-pop fan is not turning our back at our own nationality .We still love our country and know our limits.
