“I was born to speak... but slowly it faded away,” Angela exclaimed.Angela was a gentle, delicate, nice young girl. She had beautiful longbrown hair. Her mother owned a clean and beautiful double story house, but soon Angela left with her package. She was going to a special campbecause she wasn’t talking for more then a year; she never expected thiswould happen to her. It was a heated afternoon and Angela didn’t want tostep a single foot onto the ground outside. She begged her mum withglaring eyes, but sadly her mum didn’t let.Sadly Angela left her beautiful home to join the special camp. During her trip on the car, she thought to herself about how she was going to interactwith other people and how they were going to treat her. Finally, she arrived;her heart was beating so fast you couldn’t count the beats of her heart. Shestepped onto the first step of the stairs; she suddenly froze like a statue. She soon realised a girl was standing in front of her “Come on in Angela,”exclaimed Fiona. Fiona was the manager of the camp, also one of her dorm mates and one of the most polite people you would ever meet.Angela stood there… trying to speak; she stood there imagining what Fionawould say. Instead Fiona just said:“Yes, I know, you can’t speak, therefore I will take you around the camp, myname is Fiona, and nice to meet you!”After showing Angela around the campus, Fiona decided to take Angela tosee her dorm-mates. When Angela stepped near the door, her heart (onceagain) was beating so fast that you couldn’t count the beats of her heart.Suddenly the door opened; as Angela hid behind Fiona, thinking that shecould get away with meeting her dorm-mates. But as Fiona walked in,Angela politely walked in with her. As soon as Crystal saw her, Crystalquickly pulled Angela from behind Fiona’s back, Angela stood there thinkingshe was invisible, but instead she saw four pretty girls, including Fiona.“Hi my name is Kathy, this is Lisa, Crystal and Fiona… as you have metbefore,” Kathy mumbled.

They all stood there staring at each other, but Kathy wondered if anyonewould start talking or even Angela would say something.“Sorry, but Angela has the disability to speak,” Fiona said facing Angela,“Angela, like us we have disability’s too. Lisa has a disability to speak, butshe’s starting to talk now, Kathy has the disability to write, Crystal has thedisability to walk…and me? I had the disability to walk… but it’s nearlygone now,” Fiona sighed.“And soon I’ll be gone,” whispered Fiona.“Now enough with that let me explain how this dorm works, everyone get’sa job every week and today is job day. Umm... let’s see… you can do thevacuuming Angela!” exclaimed Kathy.Angela started to vacuum but soon she got tired and had a rest. Beforelong Kathy, Lisa, Crystal and Fiona finished their jobs, and they all wentoutside to get some fresh air, leaving Angela on her own. As Angela wasvacuuming she saw a beautiful statue that said at the bottom “Lisa’s Eagle”Angela has never seen such a beautiful statue before. She thought toherself, “Even though Lisa can’t talk that much she can express her trueself by making a statue.”Suddenly Angela heard a big “BANG!” Oh no! Angela accidently knockedover Lisa’s statue! The vacuum had fallen on it! What was Angela going todo now?!The statue was scattered everywhere! Angela quickly dropped the vacuumand dropped to her knee’s and started to try to stick the pieces together;she struggled to find the glue stick but as soon as she turned around shefound it! She then tried to glue the pieces back together, but as much asshe tried, the pieces fell apart over and over and over again.Angela heard the steps coming through the hall so she quickly ran into thebathroom and locked the door. The door suddenly opened Lisa, Crystal,Fiona and Kathy surrounded the scattered pieces of the beautiful eagle.Lisa sat down on her bed, staring at the pieces on the floor whilst everyoneelse in the dorm was thinking that the wind had blown the wonderful eagle.
