Focus on Learning Essay

The purpose of this essay is for you to organize your ideas about learning in general and about language learning in particular. You will also begin to make links between learning and teaching. When you write, be sure to give specific examples of your experience in this training to support your ideas.
1. Think of yourself first. What have you learned about yourself as a learner so far on the PCELT course? As a language learner in particular? 2. Now think about your classmates. What have you learned about how other people learn in general? About language learning in particular? 3. Finally, think about our training environment (room setting, relationship between trainers and teachers, seating, use of wall space/whiteboard, etc.) What have you learned about how the environment affects learning in general? How does the environment affect language learning in particular? 4. Consider everything you have written for questions 1 to 3. Write two things you will do to help yourself learn effectively during this course. Write two things you want to remember and or do when you go back to your classroom to support student learning? Your essay should be: approximately 500-700 words typed, double spaced spelling and grammar-checked Please type (preferred) or write by hand. You must submit a hard-copy of your assignment and place in the assignment mailbox.
