8 Officers of the Association

1.8.1 The General Secretaryand the Regional and Branch Secretarieswill be elected

on a yearly basis.

1.8.2 Both the General Secretaryand the Regional and Branch Secretariesmay be

re-electedafter servingarryperiod in office.

1.8.3 Both the General Secretaryand the Regional and Branch Secretariesare

subject to the rules in respectof revocation of membershipas set out in section

1.7above.

1.8.4 Upon leaving their office both the General Secretaryand the Regional and

Branch Secretarieswill passon to their successorsall the information relating

to their functions and to the Association which they have obtained as a result

of their position within the Association.

1.8.5 In the caseof an Officer being releasedor being unableto finish his term of

office for any other reason,a vote to replacethe said officer will take place

prior to the period of one year having expired and in any event within 14 days

of the officer leavinghis post.

1.8.6 Officers of the Association must managethe affairs of the Association and are

responsiblefor ensuringthat all of the information pertaining to the

Association is disseminatedto all of the membersof the association.

1.8.7 Officers of the Association must representthe memberswithin and outside the

prison estateand behavein accordancewith the Regulationsand policies of

the Associationat all times.
