ancient and weather-worn, and no doubt

with a fresh coat of paint, like the one
on our cover; and some are brand new,
constructed not of wood, but of more

Guidelines for Event Advertising
Occasionally, questions arise as to whether or not an organization
must pay for classified advertising for an upcoming event.
If your organization is hosting an event to raise funds for a wor-
thy cause, with 100 percent of the proceeds donated, for example, to
assist with medical expenses for a family facing a health crisis,
Country Living would, of course, like to help that cause by not
charging for advertising.
However, if your organization is hosting an event for which it
charges admission, or there is a cost for food or entertainment, with
all proceeds benefitting your organization, that event would not
qualify for free advertising.

Two Ohio Agriculture Dealers Form Alliance
Ken Prenger, sales manager, Prenger Implement Store, Inc., Minster, and
Kelly Love, vice president of Ohio Ag Equipment, with locations in Upper
Sandusky, Washington Court House, Napoleon, and Millersburg, Ohio,
announce a sales and service alliance for west central Ohio.
The initial focus of the alliance will provide the Prenger organization the
ability to meet their ag customers needs for material handling products with
Caterpillar skid steer loaders, mini hydraulic excavators, small wheel load-
ers, and telehandlers. Initially, Prenger Implement will have on hand low-
hour rental return machines that have been utilized by Ohio CATs Cat
Rental Stores throughout the state. New Caterpillar products will be avail-
able by year-end.
The agreement also provides both organizations access to each others
used machine inventories. This provision of the alliance will facilitate
improved opportunities for both Ohio Ag Equipment and Prenger Implement
with immediate access to a larger variety of used products located across
Ohio, comments Kelly Love.
Ken Prenger shares that, We have needed and wanted a skid steer line
for some time and now have a product line with the quality, durability, and
reliability that will meet our customers requirements. We are confident the
Cat product, with the backing of Ohio Ag Equipment/Ohio CAT, will posi-

"Country Kitchen" page in each issue, printed with recipes
submitted to us by our readers. You are invited to share your
favorite recipe for a main dish, casserole, salad, vegetable,
dessert or snack. If we feature it in our winner's box, we'll
mail you $5! Recipes should be clearly written or typed, with

JOHN WAYNE CASSEROLE
2 lbs. ground beef
1 yellow onion, chopped, divided
1 packet taco seasoning
Water (according to taco seasoning packet)
1 can (10 oz.) Rotel tomatoes
with green chilies, undrained
4 oz. sour cream
4 oz. Miracle Whip
8 oz. shredded cheddar cheese
1 box (8 oz.) Jiffy biscuit mix
Water (according to Jiffy biscuit mix box)
Brown ground beef with 1/2 of chopped onion. Add taco
seasoning, water, and Rotel tomatoes. Set aside. In a
separate bowl, combine sour cream, Miracle Whip,
cheddar cheese, and remaining chopped onion. Set
aside.
Stir biscuit mix and water together to form a soft dough.
Spread dough on the bottom of a greased 9x13 inch pan.
On top of biscuit dough, evenly distribute the ground
beef mixture. On top of the meat, spread the sour cream
mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes or until the edges
of dough are lightly browned.

Let sit overnight. Drain. Cover
with cold water. Drain and rinse.
Cut up or grind peppers:
1/2 lb. green peppers (3)
1 lb. red peppers (6)
4-1/2 cups sugar
2-1/2 cups vinegar
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsps. cornstarch
1 tsp. tumeric
Add peppers, seasonings and sugars. Cook 30
minutes. Put into jars and seal. This is very good!
