.We will be working through the LutheranChurch — Hong Kong Synod (LCHKS) atdifferent synodical schools and Englishcenters. Since the program will have it’sstart when we arrive in August, I’ll havemore information as the program begins tocome together these next few months andmore so when I get to Hong Kong. Thankyou for your prayers as I adjust and preparethese next three months. Missionary orien-tation begins this Sunday, May 31st how-ever since I attended the first week lastyear I am only traveling to Chicago for theEFL portion of the training beginning June6th. I am excited to learn new techniquesfor teaching English and also to meet mynew teammates that are headed to Asia!I’m back in the USA! After over 30 hoursof traveling, I made it home on May16th. May has been an exciting month,especially since I spent the first half pre-paring to come home and the secondhalf adjusting to actually being here. Mylast week in West Africa as we finishedup school we also made one last trip toGhana. Angela Bell, another MKteacher, adopted my cats so it washappy trip and I was glad to find them ahome! It was hard to say goodbye to somany people I have grown close to butespecially the Fluegge family. My travelhome went very smoothly and I am sothankful for your prayers as I traveled!My homecoming has been bittersweet. Iam overjoyed to be near family and fa-miliar friends but knowing I might notsee my home in Togo ever again makesmy heart ache. I thought that having air-conditioning, television, grocery storesand all these other American amenitieswould make adjusting easier but in mostways it makes it harder. While theymake life easier, I realize now that Ilived happily for ten months withoutthem. God is so good and I praise Himfor His strength and joy during my timein West Africa. Along with readjusting tolife in America, I am also switchinggears to prepare for my ministry in HongKong.
