THE CITY OF SAN DIEGO

I ask the citizens of the City of San Diego whom I represent to
pause and silently offer up their prayers and best wishes for
Laura Ling and Euna Lee.

These brave journalists are being held unjustly tonight in North

Korea under highly disturbing circumstances. It is unconscionable
that they should be arrested and charged with a crime when they
were in fact serving the noble cause of truth and enlightenment.

We pray for their well being and we call for their immediate
release. And we wish god speed to those in the United States
government and in international organizations working hard to
secure the release of these women.
