TM 10-3930-669-20WARNINGDrycleaning solvent (P-D-680) is TOXIC and flammable. Wear protective goggles andgloves; use only in a well-ventilated area; avoid contact with skin, eyes, and clothes;and do not breathe vapors. Keep away from heat or flame. Never smoke when usingsolvent; the flashpoint for type I drycleaning solvent is 100°F (38°C) and for type II is138°F (50°C). Failure to do so may result in injury or death to personnel.If personnel become dizzy while using cleaning solvent, immediately get fresh air andmedical help. If solvent contacts skin or clothes, flush with cold water. If solventcontacts eyes, immediately flush eyes with water and get immediate medical attention.WARNINGRemove rings, bracelets, wristwatches, and neck chains before working on any vehicle.Jewelry can catch on equipment and cause injury, or may short across an electrical circuitand cause severe burns or electrical shock.WARNINGCab door weighs 85 lbs (39 kg). Use the aid of an assistant for removal to prevent possibleinjury to personnel.WARNINGAllow engine to cool before performing maintenance on the muffler, exhaust pipe, exhaustmanifold, or turbocharger. If necessary, use insulated pads and gloves.WARNINGUse care when removing wiper drive arm. Wiper driver arm is under spring tension andcan act as projectile when released and could cause severe eye injury.WARNINGFuel is very flammable and can explode easily. To avoid serious injury or death:Keep fuel away from open flame or any spark (ignition source).Keep at least a B-C fire extinguisher within easy reach when working with fuel or on afuel system.Do not work on fuel system when engine is hot; fuel can be ignited by a hot engine.a

Springs are under spring tension and can act asprojectiles when released and could cause severe eye injury.WARNINGTransmission oil may be hot when drained. Do not come in contact with hot oil. Failureto do so may result in injury to personnel.Transmission oil is slippery and can cause falls. To avoid injury, wipe up spilled oilwith rags.WARNINGTransmission oil is flammable. Ensure engine is cool to prevent fire. Injury or death topersonnel could result.WARNINGWiper motor will drop when mounting nut is removed. Support wiper motor assemblyduring removal to prevent damage to equipment or injury to personnel.WARNINGBe careful not to short out battery terminals. Do not smoke or use open flame nearbatteries. Batteries may explode from a spark. Battery acid is harmful to skin and eyes.b
