Movie Maker 2Step-by-StepsSec. 1 – Creating a Simple Movie

Deleting old media files in the

Collections Window

. Click on the first media filethen hold shift key and click on the rest to delete them. Movie Maker remembersthe last collection that was open and places the same collection on the openingscreen.

Under

Movie Tasks

, Under the

Capture Video Section

, click on

ImportPictures

. Click on the down arrow in the

Look In

box, double click

MyDocuments

, drag to

My Pictures

, double click, scroll down to the “SamplePictures” folder. To select all the pictures at once, highlight the first one, holddown the shift key and highlight the last one. Click on

Import

Change view to

Storyboard View

. Click on the pictures and drag them ontothe storyboard one a time.

Add a

Transition Effect

. Under the

Edit Movie Section

, click on

VideoTransitions,

choose one and click

Play

on the monitor screen to preview thetransition. Choose one and drag to the square located after the first slide. Dothis for each slide.

Add a

Video Effect

. Click on

Video Effect

on the left. Click on one then click

Play

in the

Monitor

to preview. Choose one and drag to the

Star

on the slide.Do this for each slide. Note: Some of the effects are hard to see in the monitor.Up to six effects can be placed on a slide. The order of the effects may bechanged.

Now you are ready to watch your movie! Click on the first slide then click

Play

in the monitor. To see it on the big screen, press

Alt+Enter

. Press

Esc

to endthe movie.

To create another practice movie. Click on

File, New

Project

. Delete thephotos in the collection area, by clicking on the first one, press

Ctrl + A

, to selectall.

.3.Once the download is complete there will be 3 separate installs, one for titles,one for audio, one for transitions. After installing each they will need to beimported into Movie Maker. If not imported they will not work.

Click on the right to

Download

the three separate packs. Choose thelocation to store the files.

Double click on each of the files to run the

Installation Wizard

To import into Movie Maker, click on

File

Import into Collections

MyDocuments, My Videos, Creativity Fun Packs

. Double click. There will be4 folders. Title and end credits: choose from a selection of 6 countdown,ending, and blank video titles. Static Video Titles: Includes 16 static titlesthat you can use as it or add your own titles to. Music Tracks and Transitions:contains 3 full length songs and 5 music transitions. Sound Effects: choosefrom more than 50 new sound effects, including party sounds, graduation,ceremony sounds, just to name a few. Double click the first one. Each of the files in these folders will need to be imported. Click on the first file, holdshift down click on the last file to select them all, click on

Import

.7.Repeat these steps for the other three folders.
