Dry Edible Bean trading was slow to very slowfollowing the holiday break. Demand light to moderate,with the best demand for Small Red Beans and Black Beans. The bulk of varieties saw little to no change invalues, with the exception of Small Red Beans.
PINTOS
were fully steady to firm at the dealerlevel, grower level steady. ID/MT dealer level for brightcolored beans ranged 37.00-38.00.
GREAT NORTHERNS
were steady to firm atdealer level; grower level steady.
SMALL WHITES
were not established at eitherthe dealer or grower levels.
LIGHT RED
KIDNEYS
were steady at both thedealer and grower levels in a very light test.
DARK RED KIDNEYS
were steady in verylimited trading at both the dealer and grower levels.
PINKS
were steady at both the dealer and growerlevels in alight test.
SMALL REDS
were 1.00 to 3.00 higher at thedealer level, grower level instances of 5.00 higher in lightgrower selling.
BLACK BEANS
were steady to 1.00 higher atthe dealer level; grower level steady.
CRANBERRY BEANS
were not established ateither the dealer or grower level. As very little productremains up for sale on the spot market.
PEA BEANS
were steady to firm at the dealerlevel; grower level steady in limited trading.
