n today’s competitive world, education is very important for everyone. In India, many children are un-able to attain the fruits of educa-tion because of many reasons. One of the main reasons is due totheir financial status. Many fami-lies who live under poverty lineor on their daily earnings are notable to provide proper educationto their children. Though govern-ment is doing it’s best to providefree education to these kids, thefacilities provided are limited andmany children are still deprivedof their fundamental right toeducation. So, being educatedIndians, it is our responsibility togive a helping hand to these kidsresiding in rural India. Everyoneof us are interested to give their helping hand to the society, butmost of us do not know what todo, where to start and how to do.As the famous saying says, “AnyLong Journey Starts from a Sin-gle Step”, a small group of stu-dents from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, madetheir first step to educate theunder privileged kids from ruralIndia and started a communitynamed “AASHRITHA HELP-ING HANDS COMMUNITY”.
