This Field Operations Guide (FOG) was developed by the FEMAUS&R Technical Sub-committee in cooperation with U.S. ArmyCorps of Engineers (USACE), as a working reference tool forUS&R Rescue Team Personnel, especially Structures Specialists(StS), during response operations. It condenses informationprovided during training, and was designed to be expanded toincorporate new information.In this FOG, Sections 1 through 4 are identical to the same sectionsof the smaller US&R Shoring Operations Guide (SOG). That SOGis intended for use of Rescue Specialists in constructing shoringand other Rescue Operations. In addition to the first 4 Sections, thisFOG contains Equipment Operation Procedures, OperationalCheck Lists, Engineering Data, Tables and Forms that make it amore useful Reference for the StS.Users are encouraged to suggest changes that can be incorporatedinto future editions of this FOG.
