Description

A collection of hymns from the treasury of the Catholic Church. Gregorian chant plays a big part in this book, accompanied by translations that are singable where possible. Rounds appear as well as vernacular hymns. Stella Splendens and Gaudete are polyphonic pilgrimage songs that are also included. The music is typeset with OpusTeX. The impetus for this book came from discovering the Maternal Heart of Mary Church Latin Mass community in Sydney. Many of these hymns were popular when we were regular attendees. I was motivated to collect the Latin and English together to better understand what was sung.

This might be useful for church choirs or people learning latin, or regular spiritually minded people who like devotional poetry.
