Please Note:

The original request to reviewand approve the new information collectionrequirement regarding the collection of personal data for background checkinvestigations was for both temporarycontractors and child care workers accessingGSA owned and leased controlled facilities.However, through discussions with OMB amore streamlined process will be developedfor conducting background checks ontemporary contractors. GSA is thereforepulling the request for review and approvalof the collection of personal data for background check investigations of temporary contractors, form GSA 176T,presented in the

Amendment to declarationpursuant to section 319F–3 of the PublicHealth Service Act (42 U.S.C. 247d–6d)to provide targeted liability protectionsfor pandemic countermeasures based onthe Acting Secretary’s April 26determination, under section 319F–3(b)of the Act, that the risk that the spreadof H1N1 swine influenza viruses (nowknown as 2009 H1N1 Influenza A, or2009 H1N1 influenza) and resultingdisease constitutes a public healthemergency.
