MY IP – The idea behind the front cover design.We have developed the design of the MY IP front cover to recognise the timelessness and success of the ‘I NY’symbol.Originally the creative brainchild of Milton Glaser, thegraphic designer, and Hugh Carey, then Governor of NewYork, the ‘I NY’ symbol has kept its ability to be instantlyrecognised.Since it was originally created in 1977 to promote themetropolitan pride of New York City, the trade mark hasbeen reproduced in many ways and continues to createrevenue from tourism.Registered by the New York State Department of EconomicDevelopment, it is an example of a trade mark which hasbecome a true icon.Current registration number: 3097782 (United StatesPatent and Trademark Ofce)
