Title: “Just Consequentialism and computing” by James Moor
Quote: “The malleability of computers allows them to be used in novel and unexpected ways, ways for which we frequently do not have formulated policies for controlling their use..”
Expectations: I expect to learn how computing is applied to our needs when it comes to information technology.
The author of this chapter is James Moor, he discussed how computing helps ups in the real world. There are rules that should be followed, in the stated article in the chapter, it is said that when a person is into some problematic situation, he or she will not care for the others, but instead to care for themselves. I think it is true, because when time comes, and it happens to me, I can say that I would protect first myself, and after I am secured, I can help the others. To relate it in my life as an information technology person, to assure that all work has been done and submitted your work to your supervisor is the most important thing, then if someone else needs your help, you can guide them through their problems.
Things I have learned: I learned that when it comes to computing terms of policies is important.
