This manual lists service replacement parts for30--45RZG/RES, 30--45GSG, and G35U/G45Ugenerator sets.Information in this publication represents data availableat the time of print. Numbering System Significance
This manual uses the following numbering systems:
Specification Number.
The product identificationnumber located on the generator set nameplate. Specnumbers break down into groups.
GroupNumber.
Auniquenumberrepresentingapartsgroupneededtoassembleageneratorsetfunction. Forexample, Group 4 is the Flywheel group.
Variation or Module Number.
A group might haveseveral variations. Each variation performs the samefunction with different parts lists. For example, a 50 Hzgenerator alternator and a 60 Hz generator alternatorboth perform the same function, however, with differentparts. Each difference requires a group variation ormodule number.
Part Number.
The part number identifies an individualassembly, subassembly, component, or accessory kit.
Illustrations
Illustrations (or exploded-view drawings) bestrepresenting the widest range of variations accompanymostgroupsinthismanual. Illustrationsdonotdepictalldetails and may not show all parts. Do not useillustrations for assembly or disassembly.
How to Find Part Numbers
Use the following steps to locate a service replacementpart.1. Locatethegeneratorsetnameplateto
identifythegenerator set spec number

Turn to the Specification Number Index
. Thefirst column lists the generator set spec numbers.Theheadingsidentifythegroupsofpartsthatmakeup the generator set.3.
Identify the group
most likely to include theservice part number.4.
Find the group variation number
at theintersection of the spec number row and the groupcolumn. Note the variation number.5.
Page forward to locate the group
identified instep 3 or find the appropriate page in the Table ofContents.6.
Findthepartontheillustration
andnotetheitemnumber of the part or
findthepart descriptioninthe parts list
.7. Select
the part number that corresponds toyour group variation
. The first column lists theillustration item number. Find the variationidentified in the Specification Number Index or themodule number found on the generator setnameplate in the appropriate column on the rightsideofthepartslisttable. Findthequantityusedatthe intersection of the item number row and thevariationcolumn. Ablankspaceattheintersectionmeans the variation/module does not use that partnumber.
Hardware References
Whenreplacinghardware,donotsubstituteinferiorgradehardware.
Replacementhardwaregradeshouldbe equal to or better than the grade of themanufacturer’s original hardware. Use the CommonHardware List in the appendix to identify the commonhardware hardness.
