SUBJECT: _Geometry __ STUDENT: _________________________ GRADE: _Seventh _ ___ TEACHER: DATE: _May 27th / 2013 _ _Henry Ocampo Valencia _

ACHIEVEMENT INDICATOR: Realizes and solves operations with plane geometrical figures using transformations in
the Coordinate Plane.

1. Write the rule for reflection and find the vertices of the reflected figure. Then graph the figure.

a.

b.

2. Use the given rule to translate the figure and graph it. Give the coordinates of its image.

c.

d. Draw the parallelogram with vertices G(1, -1), H(5, -1), J(9, 3), and K(5, 3). Translate the parallelogram left 4 units and down 6 units. Give the coordinates of the vertices of the image.

3. Give the vertices of an image created by rotating each figure 90 counterclockwise about the origin. Then graph the image.

4. Draw the triangle LMN with vertices at L(-1, -3), M(5, 2), and N(3, -5). Then graph its image and write its coordinates after a rotation of 180 counterclockwise about the origin.

5. Find the vertices of the image under a dilation by the given scale factor. Identify the dilation as a reduction or an enlargement.

6. Draw the parallelogram with vertices G(1, -1), H(5, -1), J(9, 3), and K(5, 3). Dilate the figure by 18%. Give the coordinates of the vertices of the image. Identify the dilation as a reduction or an enlargement.
