SCANNER OPERATOR 
Cuyahoga County Prosecutor's Office - Cleveland, OHReports To: Unit Supervisor Salary: $24,272.85 – $26,702.00The purpose of this classification is to receive, prepare, separate by type and scan sets of document originals to be reproduced as hardcopies or for uploading into a database; saves soft copies on computer storage media inorder to be more efficiently accessed by appropriate personnel.RESPONSIBILITIES:Prepares documents for scan; prints separator sheets.Operates the scanner; reviews scanned images; processes/uploads scanned images on software and intodatabases.Ensures organization and tracking of documents; enters file location in tracking system; verifies closed cases for destruction.Stores cases in the file room; logs box numbers; marks boxes for completed scanned documents.Logs discovery demands into mail delivery software; files case evidence to proper location for storage.Data entry of various documents into a computer database system.Performs all other duties assigned, delegated or required of the Scanner Operator as well as those prescribed bylaw;Conducts business in accordance with federal statutes and guidelines, the Ohio Revised Code and the OhioAdministrative Code.EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:Ability to perform in a professional manner under stress when confronted with tight deadlines.Ability to review, compile and maintain data/information; record and deliver information, and to followinstructions.Ability to comprehend a variety of informational documents including routine correspondence, legal documents,reports and records.Ability to prepare criminal case files and other job related documents using prescribed format.Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals within and outsidethe Department.Ability to use and interpret general administrative terminology and language.Must have excellent attention to detail.Must be comfortable working with sensitive and occasionally graphic materials.Ability to lift 25 lbs.Must possess qualities of fairness, a strong work ethic, have the highest integrity; and must also maintain theconfidentiality of law enforcement and investigatory records and other confidential information.MINIMUM EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent and one year of clerical experience; or anyequivalent combination of training and experience.
